Union Budget’s focus on shipbuilding to strengthen India’s logistics and global trade

The Union Budget 2025 introduces key initiatives to boost India's shipbuilding industry, a move expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce logistics costs, according to Leo Peter Charles, Founder & Managing Director of Jane Solutions. He highlighted that expanding India’s shipping fleet and reducing dependence on foreign vessels will particularly benefit the fisheries and agri-export sectors, making global trade faster and more cost-effective.
